I want to stress this once again; Effective immediately, all children under the age of 16 must leave the Social Quarters and Game Room by 10:00 PM.
Check the flyers in the newsletter for upcoming events. Hope to see you there.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to those that have been sick or lost a loved one.
Thanks to everyone that helped with the Projects, Dinners, and Bingo this past year and those that supported them. Thanks also to those that helped with little things around the Lodge to improve our Moose Family Center.
I look forward to working with the new Board of Officers, WOTM and Moose Legion. Let’s all work together and have a great year!
P. S. Please read a letter written by the Governor of Williamsburg Moose Lodge; a very well written letter. I think we could improve our lodge by having a friendly and inviting Social Quarters.

I wrote last month about the language that some of you are using in the social quarters. We want our Lodge to be friendly and inviting to all our members and guests. It’s very embarrassing when a guest walks up and complains about the language being used in our Lodge. If you hear someone using bad language, please tell them to stop….it’s your Lodge too.
We need a happy environment in our social quarters and this means no rumors, no arguments, no trash talking, no cliques, no complaining, no smart remarks, and no disrespect to others. Our Lodge is not a redneck hangout….some are not helping to keep a happy atmosphere in our social quarters. Let’s all try to work on this.
I’m hearing a lot of suggestions about what we need to do in the Lodge and how things are done. This needs to stop now. The social quarters is for exactly that….social gatherings and fellowship. If you have suggestions, ideas or even complaints, come to the meetings and voice them….not in the social quarters. The next person that comes up to me and tells me what we, the Lodge or Board, needs to do….I am just going to tell them to save it, and maybe if they would take 30 minutes out of their bar drinking time and come to a membership meeting to express their ideas or concerns that someone would listen. I’m in the social quarters just like everyone else to enjoy myself and have fun and fellowship. Do you want a lot of B.S every day? I don’t think so….we need to respect each other and enjoy the fellowship of one another. Let’s make our Lodge a friendly place to come and have fun….not a redneck bar.
Now let’s thank all those who have worked so hard and donated so many hours to help our Lodge prosper. The volunteers….you know who they are! A simple thank you for what they do, will go a long way. When you see someone doing something in the Lodge….just say “Thank You”. So to all who have volunteered the last month, I say thank you for all that you do.
P.S. In the words of Thumper….If you don’t have something nice to say…then don’t say anything at all. Have a great day!
